City employees won the contract for City Hall’s maintenance – both keeping the work in house and saving $115,818 annually, Mayor Dewey Bartlett announced Thursday….The internal bid was for $977,190, compared to $984,000 from New York City-based Core Facility Services, which submitted the most-qualified private bid out of four. Technical changes during the review process increased the employees’ bid from the $970,755 that was originally reported. The work – which includes meeting all of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry needs of City Hall – has been budgeted at $1,093,008 annually. …
